Great new section idea

Now let's see here...

There are alot of teens on these forums, age range of 10-20 years old. Most of these teens go to school, not only the members but the mods and staff do as well. Now this is where the great idea comes into play.

Now everyone has problems in school, whether it is math, history, science, or just intro to occupations. Sometimes their parents or friends can't help them at home or at their friends house. They search the internet and can't find anything alot of the time. But what happens if they came upon...

A forum with a section with school help? This section could help with Math, Science, History, Intro to ____, English, etc... Now the good thing about this section is more people coming to BF, meaning that it would make Chris alot happier(more money for him.) Bad thing about it is more members to keep safe, but that is our duty.

Now I don't know what you all think, but I think it would be a really good idea, but thats my opinion.

It isn't exactly needed, but I do think it's a good Idea. Say this was done, and it was added. I think it would be cool to add a pc help to it. Like...school work/pc help.

Just a thought.

You can come here and get help on several things whether school or home. Whether it is math, science, computers, personal help, or anything like that!

Yes, it would attract a whole new breed to the forums. That isn't too bad of a thing is it?

I actually think it wouldn't be a bad idea. A lot of people need help with school, not everyone is great at it. It might be a "unneeded" section, but hey...why not.

i think this is a good idea, but if we do this its gonna bring in a whole different crowd. There will be alot more nerds, if thats the case, the admins should keep em seperated!

I think it's a terrible idea. Who here, honestly would help people out, i certainly just can't be bothered. I'm too busy with school already, let alone helping others with it. Besides, the people from here come from various places and isn't it likely that they will have different syllabuses???

I just don't think it'd help. And also, that PC help forum is already incorporated into the Intro's Forum, so there isn't any major need yet to get that up.

One disadvantage is false help. Someone would ask for help and someone would say an answer that's not true making them fail / get the question wrong.

I dont think its a good idea.

A) Have you seen the homework threads in chit chat? Its not really a homework thread just people saying what they have.

B) We would need a mod(s) to actully know the stuff meaning if a 17 year old senior student came in looking for help on his calculas homework we would need someone to know it.

Good idea for sure, but, wouldn't this kind of forum trun us all into nerds and geeks (not that some of us already are ), talking about school all the time. I am still half-half on this one.

Interesting idea but I dont think it will work.

Judging from the number of BF users who actually ask for homework help (some of them do that systematically in AS but most of those questions are found in Chit-Chat) the *demand* for such a forum is not high enough.

On top of this, we don't have the mods who could answer a variety of difficult questions on many diferrent topics on a 24hour basis.

Please keep in mind that BF users come from all over the world and a forum that can answer questions about *math, science, computers, personal help, or anything like that* is an extremely ambitious project for BF (and for any gaming forum).

I agree immensly with this part, we actaully need people who know some of this stuff. What if some college student came in here asking about programming? Wouldnt be of much help.

Im sorry my teachers have poisoned my brain to the point that having someone else do your homework is cheating.
