Gore for President

I was reading about how, because Al Gore won his Nobel prize, he is considering or being persuaded to consider running for Presidency. How many of you would vote for him if he did? I would vote for him if I could, but I'm Canadian.

The reason I'm into American politics and not Canadian is because Canada has nobody worth rooting for.

Well you have to vote for which candidate you believe would be best. It would be pointless to just go with the candidate with the most support.

A puppet in the sense he works for the corporations, not the average citizen. Please don't buy into the image he trys to display. He ran once before, what makes anyone think he will change any this time?

As for voting non-mainstream. I vote with my beliefs, I don't buy into the lesser of two evils bull****. Maybe someday more people will feel the same way I do and we won't have the republocrat party running the nation with only corporate interest in mine.

I'm very into protecting the environment, but I really think that Al Gore is a terrible spokesperson for the movement - the last thing we need is to turn the environment into a partisan issue. That, plus I don't really agree with his methods to fixing the environment (he treats it like a flaw of the market, I treat it as a problem of the government due to property rights not being respected). So I don't really like him despite agreeing with the theme of his message, then again being a vice president in recent history and my opinion of those presidencies is another strike against him in my book as well.

So the answer is basically no, there is no likely circumstance in which I would vote for Al Gore. I'm sticking to Ron Paul.

I can see your point Tipsy, but as the world knows Al Gore and the work he does, I think he would be a vote well spent as someone who has a better chance of winning then a candidate with less experience.

Al Gore lost against what could possibly be the most inept person to ever run for office, what makes you think he is better than Ron Paul?

It's not a matter of voting for someone with the most support. It's a matter of voting and your vote not doing anything because the candidate you voted for has no chance of winning.

What's the point of voting if it's not your candidate? I don't have party loyalties so it wouldn't effect me.
