It's more of a habit than an addiction. I used to find myself at the forums when I was actually planning on going somewhere else. Subconciously. It was annoying. But most of the old forum-people have left at least once. I mean, for => 2 weeks at a time, not just a vacation without computer access. Think I left for.... 5 months? I don't know. I posted an 'official post', but in another thread. Temporary hijacking. And I think one sentence was on topic, at least...

It's pretty hard to be at a forum for two years without taking a break at least once.

I left, but I didn't feel the need to tell anyone. No one really noticed, because I didn't point it out. Funny how that works, huh?

(Note: No matter WHO YOU ARE, not many people will know that you leave unless you tell them)

Also, D_P2, please do leave, it would make this place a lot better.

Yeah right, Jason., remember after the hacking? Where were you?

Few breaks for me, been here for nearly a year and a half now. Probably the most active user overall.

If you're talking about what Placebo did, then I was on vacation and didn't have access to the internet.

I don't plan on leaving Battle Forums for a long time. It's just too much of an addiction I guess.

I don't understand.. How can posting on a forum become an addiction? A habit, as someone said, yes, but addiction, never.

I could leave any forum at any time, i think. If one can't, one should spend less time in front of the computer.

Exactly. Think you can leave a forum? Unplug the cable modem and try to post.

Go outside and get some sun kiddies, many here ask "why cant i get a girl?" while the skin is ghost white. The sun won't hurt you now

Hope that helped.

You people obviously don't get it.

Look at our join dates and look at your own.

You've been here a grand total of a month, good job.

The majority of the people saying they couldn't leave have been here long enough to become popular, known, and able to make a difference in the community.

We can't leave, it's too hard.

Fu_Lou: I was mod of GFX and then I left, he just gave me my spot back.

I left once, worked for a month. I remember little before placebo because I maybe posted 30 times? I don't remember.

Either way I don't plan to leave soon. Besides i've almost been here for a year.

However I have been involved with many communities of Starcraft for over 3 years counting. It's finding that balance between the real life activities and the online world that is difficult to keep. If I had to however, I would and could leave them all.

You go out with a girl maybe 3-4 weeks then break up with them.
My last relationship was over 2 years long now, started dating her when I was 18. Being out of school does changes much. Another small note is if I do have any female questions I simply ask my sister. I trust more of a face to face conversation over that of online. I simply find the online world very very easy to stretch the truth.

For the most part however, here is what happens with a girl I meet.

She sees me drive up with my Acura.
When I talk to her, I offer her a drink.
We talk, often about how my job is wonderful and how the gym helps me to push limits on everything.

Now I hope I fall into the category of those who are not allways like that which you mentioned WhiteAngel. And for the record I'm 21.

Please do not talk about how long you have been here because Tacitus will launch into a story about he was the 12th to sign up and the longest still active member.

And remember, for length of stay and activeness on BF, spambot > all of you. ;)
