Anyone knows the best tactic to destroy the second level of Ares (the one where you have to save your family) in God Mode (Very Hard). It's... Very hard indeed. I can't manage to be able to do it that well...

From what I've found, you obviously need to use the grab command against these guys.. normal combos don't seem to have the necessary effect.

Also, I also use the Army of Hades spell, since it provides a good oppurtunity to heal your family. Poseidon's rage also does the trick, but it doesn't allow you to heal your family simultaneously, like Army of Hades does.

i havent gotten GOW as i havent done much gaming since the beginning of summer, but.....

GOW is a DEFINATE must play for PS2 owners. some can get away with renting it, and it will be worth it...but it is just as much worth a buy.


spectacular gameplay and control, great action non stop, good graphics, good storyline.....very cinematic. and overall pretty perfect game for almost any PS2 owner.

i played it ata friends for a few mins and watched a few people trade the control for a little while and i was won over EASILY. the reviews did not lie.

In that case, make sure you've upgraded Army of Hades to Level 3, and that you've collected every Gorgon Eye and Phoenix Feather by looking up a guide or something.

I don't think there's any other way to do it. I think there's an element of luck to it, so you have to keep trying until you get lucky.

I beat the game God Of War, about 13 times.
I love that game, it never get's old.
Especially kicking Ares' ass with Army Of Hades.
Maxing all the skills and everything, never get's old.
Only one downfall, the time it taked in Pandora's Temple.

I have everything. All powers maxed up, etc. Was just wondering if there was an easier way. I'll get there.

God mode isn't hard, but that part is bloody impossible
