That's true, but it's allot easier to have mixups when a mod doesn't record what they've done, i.e. if a mod moves something to the wrong forum, it would be assumed that it was the member's fault for posting there (but yeah, mods should be smarter than that). That's kind of what I made This thread for. I was hoping this sort of 'training' process would continue to future mods so they'd know how to track activity of a thread if they didn't know why it was there.

It seems like a lot of mods are undertrained, and overworking lately.

I already knew about that, but it doesn't exactly leap to mind when all I'm looking at is what appears to be another idiot who hasn't read the posting rules. If anything, telling what you've done is just courteous for the next mod who has to handle it.
