The best of both worlds
Pretty sure you did.Pretty sure I didn't say that second part, thanks though.
edit; Also, I lost about 7k posts from the Asylum disappearing, which sucks. But whatever, I'm alreayd over it.

oh noes, what would we do without a post count.Post counts don't show how much you care about a forum, it shows how much of a spammer you are. IMO, remove them altogether.
I'm sure you won't be disappointed.LordNevar said:Believe it or not this place has allot of potential, especially with someone who is dedicated to it. Well I myself do not know you Max, but if your willing to go the distance, and don't limit staff and help them than I am sure your new ownership of the site will work out very well, and the site will go far.
He's still here as an administrator.Ntrik_ said:hahah so what happened to Eric?
The post counts were recalculated after the move. We got rid of certain threads that we felt did nothing more than pad post counts. Sure, a high post count shows activity, but even our most active member may not be a valuable member.Ntrik_ said:oh wow i want my post counts back =( they meant everything to me
Eric is still here as an admin. I can't wait to prove you wrong.Ace said:Wow, glad to see Eric's not admin anymore, but I can't help the feeling this guy is gonna do just what X said.
All threads from the previous Music forum were moved to the Chit Chat forum. We merged certain forums to bring the focus back to gaming. As much as I encourage off-topic discussion, the game-related forums should always be the focal point.Elysium said:Music section. Bring it back.
I guess this isn't the place to debate this, but that seems like a silly decision. He's still here as an administrator.
Feel free to send me a PM. I'm not going to promise you anything, but I will do what I can to resolve any staff-related issues. It's certainly not up for public debate, though.I guess this isn't the place to debate this, but that seems like a silly decision.
Definitely some goods points, all of which I will take into consideration. I'll bring it up in the staff forum. But again, I'm trying to get rid of any unnecessary forums. The Other Interests forum is named that way because they are other interests, relative to the main interest of the forum, Blizzard's games.True enough, but it gets kind of hard to focus on a specific genre when you are drowned with threads in chit chat like "what are you listening to?" Justin Timberlake blahblah Christina Agu..whatserface, all this pop crap you hear on the radio every 15 minutes..
I dont feel its gonna interfere with the main feature games since the "Other Interests" section is almost at the bottom of the index page anyway and has "General Gaming" as well as "Console Gaming" Despite being an "Other Interests" forum!! Not trying to be funny, but you know what i mean though?
I dont know about you but i dont know any people that would sit there playing games in silence or listening to the annoying soundtrack crap thats on games by choice, so its not as though its unrelated. Its all good having a proper gaming forum and all, but no need to chuck completely different types of people in one small place and let them annoy the s**t out of each other when they want to talk to the other members about something other than computer games.
F**k knows bruv, if you see it working then il go with, but i think you kinda dropped yourself in it but changing so many things at once in a forum thats been around for ages and its all settled down.. All i can say is good luck..
Why should a Forum Elder or Forum Ancient have access to the staff forums?Way to take away the second to last thing an Elder has, battlestaff access.
The point of the battlestaff was more than staff discussion, it allowed normal people to post their problems and suggestions but not view all posts, Elders had the privilege to view all the posts and give their suggestions as well (seeing as they are Elders, and I hope you know that Elders were once important to the battleforums community). Why should a Forum Elder or Forum Ancient have access to the staff forums?
Members of the Forum Elder and Forum Ancient groups are elevated, but they're not staff members.
There will always be off-topic forums. Compared to the past, there are fewer, but the purpose of the consolidation was not to limit discussion.Jason said:I'm curious, Max, a lot of the older members here whom have been around forever don't really play the Blizzard games anymore (aside from WoW to a small extent), and the lot of us posted in the general forums. How do you plan to accommodate to those of us whom have moved on? I'm just curious because being one of those people..I only stayed because of how long I've known a lot of the not-so-horrible members we still have left.
It's now strictly staff discussion. The point of the battlestaff was more than staff discussion, it allowed normal people to post their problems and suggestions but not view all posts, Elders had the privilege to view all the posts and give their suggestions as well (seeing as they are Elders, and I hope you know that Elders were once important to the battleforums community).
Thanks for banning Mike too <3.
You got banned for spamming porn, you didn't leave.I for one welcome the new changes. I left BF about a month or two ago with the premise of never returning.
