ok i found out a bug *i think its a bug*(do i get a prize?)
but if u hold down spacebar to activate shield, and then u keep holding the arrow keys, notice that your character will still move but the shield stays in place also? that could be a reason why the shield doesnt always work.

**EDIT** starfish, how many stages/points do you have to pass/get to win??
