It looks like a sweet game. I'll definitely get it since I'm such a big fan of Final Fantasy I want it when it first comes out, but I'm cheap and poor so I might have to wait a while >_>

Anyway, I'm looking forward to it and can't wait to see more about it

FFXII is gonna suck most likely, kinda how FFTA did.

FF10 had the best graphics because it was on the PS2. If it was on the PS1 then you wouldn't be commenting about the graphics.

I agree about 8.

9 was okay... I didn't like the characters much.

7 had an amazing story, although I liked 8's more.

10-2 and 11 are just disgraces to the Final Fantasy series. From what I've heard, FF11 has little or no actual story (it has a backstory, but that's about it). 10-2 was the only Final Fantasy sequel ever made (I think), and IMHO it could've been better. It was to action-y, taking from the Final Fantasy series what was one of thei greatest assets: Strategy. In 10-2, if you had set the cursor to Memory and knew what your best attacks were, you'd be unstoppable. 11 is just about leveling and getting money (just like all other MMORPGs).

I hated FFTA. It was nothing like the first FFT (which I own for the PS1, BTW). FFTA was something about a book. FFT was about two kingdoms (or something) that were in turmoil. There were people that wante the war to escalate, etc.

If 12 does come out, I'm getting it... unless I've spent all my money on other high-quality games (such as Halo 2, Fable, Chronicles of Riddick, Ghost Recon 2, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, etc.)

Ivalice is the story book world. The reason the two are different is because FFT tells the story of a war that took place long before present day ivalice, and I would presume FFT:A took place in present day Ivalice, although no real clue is given to what time it does take place, in relation to the original FFT.

I'm sorry, but the only thing that sets VII apart is the story. Everything else was just what makes up a Final Fantasy, and theres quite a few that pulled it off better.

How can one know whether or not a game that has yet to come out will be "better than it's originals!"? One hasn't played it yet, now has one? Even Halo 2 (which I am an avid fanboy of) can become the worst game in the world (cataclysmic events destry all of Washington state and Microsoft and Bungie are wiped off the face of this planet, or Bungie decides to turn Halo 2 into some gay sports game, etc.) So far, we know little about FFXII itself.
