The sphere grid system was a joke. and FFX-2 sucks just as bad as X.

The sphere system was awesome. It let you completely customize any character you wanted for the really hardcore, or let you just do what is on it for the casual gamer.

No other FF game has had something like this.

Whats so great about 10?

The sphere grid was pretty lame, the minigame sucked, and the story was average. The VO were pretty good though.

The sphere gird owns, the minigame owned, the story is what made it so great.

In FFX, Blitzball sucked until you got the hang of it and the story was one of the best ones yet in a FF. Also, the sphere grid is one of the best ideas for individual characterization in a game.

That system was rigged.

100 Ultimas in Elements and you are immune to everything.

100 Hastes in Speed and you could attack like 50 times before your enemy can do the same.

Leave a character till the end of the game, jack him or her up with Bonuses and turn that character into a WMD.

Selphie had the highest combatiability with all the GFs.

Eden > all, you were an idiot if you attached this to Squall.

Vit 0 was the most devastating status effect in the game.


Besides the fact you needed Key Spheres to unlock different aspects of the grid. You can make the most devastating characters by customizing them to different parts of the grid. Even to a point where every Character learned everything.

I think the materia system was the best out of all of them.

The fact you could get 100 demis junctioned on each character right after you get the lantern was one thing I didn't like about the system. But its still better then that damn sphere grid.

I dont know i think the sphere grid is better at the start of the game but i suppose the materia is better overall because the sphere grid eventually everyone learns the same thing so it is a bit of a 50/50 thing here where they both have advantages and disadvantages.
