Family Guy V Futurama - Which is funnier?

I've been denying it forever, but Simpsons has really gone downhill. I still watch it because I'm a loser fanboy, but the last several episodes I haven't laughed once.

I don't watch it anymore. The stuff is becoming so random now. They are seriously running out of ideas.

Family Guy is a lot more funny than Futurama, imho.

Family guy, though it went way downhill after the original seasons.

The only thing that made me chuckle on futurama was during the start of an episode. They're all standing around a "death clock" and right after they see Fry's result, Bender says "Dibs on his CD player!". To be honest, Futurama seems more like a funnier version of King of the Hill... they're trying to have an actual story while going for a few stupid laughs.

Of course both simpsons (early 90's) and southpark > both.

No, I see where you're coming from, and most of it is true. The show is pointless and random, but I'm not watching Family Guy for a life-lesson, I watch for some cheap-quick and dirty humor. I don't care how they make me laugh, so long as I enjoy it. And I do.

Family Guy fails at funny. It's all about puking out as many pop culture references it can in an episode and hoping that viewers confuse lame with funny. Also "random" isn't funny. It's boring kiddy shit. lol monkey in my closet laff cause its sooo randdom lol

CB just summed up how I feel about Family Guy. Random cutscenes that don't connect to the "plot" (not that Family Guy actually has a plot) don't constitute jokes. "Remember that time (insert random celebrity) (insert random stupid action)" is exactly how all the stupid Family Guy "jokes" go.

I love Futurama because they tie in current events and pop culture references with the plot of the episode. The plot follows a logical sequence of events, rather than random shit leading to other random shit.

Family Guy = dumb humor.
Futurama = quality humor.

I like Family Guy over Futurama, but I have to say South Park and the simpsons like seasons 3-6 are better than anything else.

I like Futurama. Pretty much everything about it from the characters, to the story i like more than in Family Guy. That is, if you can really say Family Guy has any sort of plot whatsoever.
Don't ask me why but i really find Hermes from Futurama funny.

Watching Futurama again yesterday solidifies my love for the show. Fox just blows as a network. Seriously, they canceled futurama essentially in favor for Family Guy, then they cancel family guy.

I like 'em both. While Family Guy has random sarcastic humor, Futurama has stupid funny humor... But, if I could only choose one, I'd choose Family Guy, because they stopped making more Futuramas... =\

Futurama > Family Guy. Bender is my kinda robot, and Zoidberg is hands-down the greatest adult cartoon comedy character ever.

Futurama is just so much better, in so many ways.

It's actually very fun to watch for it's science fiction alone, and it has better characters and plots.

I can't really watch Family Guy these days unless it's a story with Stewie and Bryan.
