Ok, guyz i realize back awhile ago i said something that the triggs to hard for the TBS system.
But i got another idea:
Instead of using the TBS system, we make a completely different RPG combat system, which is mostly like I guess Paintball. Your character is viewed as third or first person camera angles, just like in paintball. Everything else basically remains the same, except now instead of the TBS system, we will use a hotkey system.
What will happen is you will use the arrow keys to move your person around, the mouse will play an extremelyt small part in this game. Then your character does not autoshoot, you have to press A, whenever you press A, the character will shoot at any targets near enough, (Autoshoot takes the fun out of this type of map, make it more challenging so they have to press A)
When they press A, the character will shoot at a random target enemy in his range (I know there is someway to do that), If there is no target in their range, i would wanna do something like take away 5 health from character cuz its cheap if the person just bashes A while hes moving around. For bosses, the same rules apply. We could do a think where each boss has its own battlefield, where you are taken when you fight him, just to add a little spice, and the way the teleportation would work, so you could get your team of men there, would be like an area surrounded by trees ecept the enterance, a pretty good size area, and the boss at the end, (the area being a circle or square.) then when 1 player goes up and shoots at the boss, the players inside area are teleported, (the shot will not do any damage and it will just heal the boss when he is teleported to the battlefield)
Now, the whole game will not be full of gunmen, because i love to use custom spells and things. And also instead of making this map a old time map, i was thinking of using technology and things like guns and lasers heh.
Now, I like our thing about the inventory, and I think we can do a backpack type thing, and use new items/weapons/shield/armor and so on, the way this would work, is a skill on your hero like where the attribute bonus would go would call on your "item mules" Once you remove an item from the mule they go back to the corner of the map, and the hero can use that item, if anyone knows a better way to have muliple items please tell me, Also shops, you would press the mule button, press select user and buy the item, very simple once you understand the concept,
Now the main reason i mention the inventory is weapons. I do wanbt upgrading weapons such as short sword, long sword, fire sword, crap like that, now below i am gonna say the types I have thought of, Now I also say below the Gun type is the main type, but he has one extreme disadvantage:
I wanna make an ammo system if possible, where when he buys guns they have certain ammo amounts (Of course when you buy from a shop they are full), the way i plan on doing this is he can have 5 diff guns in his inventory (Last slot is for quick potion, unless he is a dumbass and wants to carry 6 guns), Lets say the first gun is a pistol, it carries 7 shots per round, and max hold is 60, Everytime the pistol shoots the 7 number goes down, (Each will be displayed in gold a lumber, lumber being max, gold being carterage) Once the gold goes completely down, the gunmen using the pistol will reload, which is somethiong like a pause game for him for 5 seconds, then when that time is over, his lumber goes down 7, and his gold goes up 7 showing he reloaded.
I have no idea if that is possible, I highly doubt it is, but it would b sweetass if you could; The part i think is impossible is when you switch guns to remember how much ammo is left, which could be a problem, solutions anybody?
Types:
Melee Hero: Just a few types of these, maybe a blademaster, mountain king, things like that, duing his combat, if he is within a certain radius of an enemy and presses A, he will charge the enemy in a certain radius so it will make his combat easier instead of him having to get right up against the enemy to fight.
Gun Hero: Basically the main type of the game, Uses guns......., combat is what i explained above. Also explained his stuff above about guns n stuff
The Medic Mage (White Mage, i just feel like calling her MEDIC MAGE!): Heals shit, duh, she can also cast spells like holy light on the bad guyz since they UD, and thats where he damage comes from, she uses the mouse more than A, bcuz her attacks suck, she throws like bandaids at things or something, whatever you get the general idea
Hitler Mage (Black MagE): Casts junk like fire, water, a wizard basically that casts hurtful spells, another weak melee dude, throws magical twigs or sometin
Last but i think really cool: Bob the Repair Guy (Technician): Bob builds devices to attack, his spells for example make a mini sentry gun to attack, stuff like that, he attacks with a wrench so he is an ok melee attacked, but most of his damage comes of his spells which make guns and missle shooters n crap.
Thats about it, i know how to all the trigger in there, except the ammo part, and i still know there could b lots more ideas, tell me how ya think
