Dupe? Maybe

Ok this is gonna be hard to explain but ill try my best. But before i begin i have to say i dont have any garrenties that this will work. Yes this is another Lag Dupe(Maybe) or maybe some more. A long read, but someone who can exploit this could help.

Ok today i was leveling my new char and then i started to do Nm Ancients. I took my barb up to that ancients place and placed a TP rite next to the book. My sorc entered and i clicked on the book yata yata.. the ancients came alive. They killed my sorc and then my barb(me) killed the ancients. Then this is the strange part. I saw the dead body of my sorceress on the floor from my barb. So i change the screen and look at my sorc, but to my surprise its still alive and it doesnt say the message Press ESC.. But i also see the dead body. So obviasly i was like wtf going on cuz i know my sorc died. Then after like a minute my barb got connection interupted and got kicked back to the chatting channels. So quickly i change accounts and log on the sorc and give me items to my friend who kept it. Then i exited the game from where i gave the chars to my friend then i saved from the one where i killed the ancients. And I DUPED. Now i wouldnt had posted this here but i really think that this is more of a glitch than a lag Dupe. Can anyone expliot this glitch. Iam srry but i didnt have anything else than maphack open so i dont exactly know the packets sent and recieved. Ask any questions you may have here.

nope i checked my FPS its was around 150 which is normal for me.

when your sorc was dead but still alive could you still move around with your sorc cuz if you could you could have droped your items then got your body with the stuff still on and you wouldnt have had to get your friend to hold them

but still this is very strange im going to mess around with this for a bit.

in the ancients game i could move around but i couldnt pick/move any items/skills.

Obviously you can only do this when ur doin anicents i guess but mabye could some 1 make something showing the steps on how to do this?

radix i have one more question, was it the first time you had done the quest with your sorc?

o and did your barb or sorc click on the book(sometimes these little things make a difference).

no my barb didnt click on it and yes this was the first time done wiht my sorc.

when i played private realm i could go in a game wit 2 of my own chars and check each screen and the spots they were in were different each screen.and also when i die i can walk round for few seconds after hitting esc so i tried droping stuff no luck.clicked my body alot fast while i was in that few seconds and got a ci >< no roll though

first off how many skills did u get from the quest.
second could you use the skills after u left the game w/o restarting d2?

seems like you were lucky...u didnt trigger the "half-dead-sorc-state" did ya? (being killed and then switching screens doesnt count as triggering a dupe =/ )

i've seen this happen quite a few times when my friends and i were helping each other with ancients. the person who hasn't done the quest dies, then after the ancients die you get like resurrected i guess. i don't know why that happens. seems like it has something to do with leveling up and your life increasing or being restored or something. all i know is it's like a blackwall where you can't click on anything but you can run around like a ghost and use the overhead! message and the other person can see it, but not you.

so if we wanted to dupe with this, and MrHappy is right, we would need either a lvl 20/40/60 character who hasnt killed ancients with his stash and inventory full of stuff to dupe.

we need to know how radix got c/i and we need to mule after.

Seems fairly easy if you ask me... a little too easy.

yeah but untill we figure out what triggered the barb into the c/i we have nothing.... theres ways to do it to yourself but i can't think of any that don't also give u a realm down...
