The thing is you have to think of people to, not just trees if they were to stop us from cutting down trees a lot of people in oregon would lose there jobs that is are main industry. Oregon is the biggest lumber producer in the USA and we already have a bad unemployment rate above the national average and if environmentalists stopped us from cutting down trees the unemployment rate would skyrocket

Oregon grows redwoods. Redwoods grow 100+ meters and take 2000+ years to mature. Your state depends on the harvesting of redwoods for luxury goods. Only 4% of your redwoods remain, the other 96% has been logged in the last 200 years. Replanting redwood seeds does nothing. I can guarantee that the environmentalists you see are protesting this. You have no case.
