Don't save the environment

I don't get why people are so worried about saving the environment. In oregon my home state there it a lot of environmentalist who stop companys who own land from getting the trees off of it they do everthing from protest to try and get the law to stop them from mining trees on there own land. personally i do think we should protect the environment a little but the laws we already have have now tottally protect it.

Cutting back on tree cuttings increases the oxygen output and makes for a much healthier environment. Not to mention you're also cutting down the homes of many animals that are a part of the ecosystem.

Why wouldn't you be worried about the environment? It's where you live. If the environment is messed up, so is your life. Air pollution might not affect you right now, but it will for your children, or the next generation. Cutting trees down ruins the ecosystem. The animals have no place to go. They either go to the city or die in the forest. Yes we need paper, but if America was just more conservative with their paper consumption, we wouldn't have to cut so many trees. I am proud for protestors to stand up against big business and save the wildenress. Not all of the laws save the environment. Animals are still poached, even though there are laws. Most of the laws are broken, We need something more than laws to save the environment. Have you seen the movie "The Day After Tomorrow"?

Hey, it's the best thing people can do. Not everyone can afford a high priced lawyer to fight the lumber business. It's the easiest way to oppose chopping down trees. Do you want your environment to become wasted?

you guys tottaly misunderstand me the first thing about the gays was that they are overexposed and i don't agree with there life choice which isn't that much different from you guys dissagreeing withh my life choice as a christian. and this was made to say that if i own an acre of trees i should be able to harvest them

Trees are good for you. Not only do they keep you alive (no oxygen=no you...wait a sec...thats not a bad idea!)....anyways...trees also prevent erosion (their roots keep stuff in place), thus preventing things like landslides (in cities like Taipei, stuff like this's really important cause dozens of people die in landslides every single year). Oh, and trees are also aesthetically pleasing (id rather look at a forest than a baren piece of land)....and what would you do without trees to stand under when the sun's out and you're hot? Save the trees.

(oh, and i think you need to go hug a tree; its good for you!)

I guess it's different if you don't live in oregon because where i live environmentalists will literaly stop people from harvesting on there own property even if they follow all the laws. i'm not saying we should chop down all the trees i'm saying if i own an acre of trees and the belong to me i should be able to harvest them as long as i replant to for each tree i chop down

no mage you have no idea what your talking about I actually know something about the lumber industry because i grew up in a state that relies on it. The the company that chops down the trees has workers replant them and they must replant two trees for every one they chop down and the must leave one tree standing per acre

Do you know how long it takes for a tree to grow back to its original state? A long ass time. The environmentalists know this and are trying to get people to cut back on tree cutting.
