Simple question...

do you play Magic: the gathering?

if you do... what does your deck(s) look like?

used to when i was 14.

nothing beat my blue white deck.

it run on serra angels, scalpelexis, teferi's moat, absorbs, aegis of honor, iridecent angel and millstone.

what happens is that they dont have any hope to actually hurt me with moat, angels and aegis. so i just deck them with millstone.

i stopped because besides the gay factor, the one that had the deeper purse would always get the better cards which would always win.

yeah, I just got back into it... not heavily... used to though... but the cards are a lot more reasonably priced now... surprisingly. You can get good decks for cheap.. Ebay is the place for that stuff :)

Yeah, I have two decks... one bird deck, and the other is anti-air, which is composed of spiders. Green and White.

Blue is too much spells for me.
Black is too much loss of life for me.
and Red is just too damn expensive for good stuff.

I played that game in middle school. I wasted so much money and social life on that retarded game. God I was a pathetic nerd. Not saying you're a nerd or anything...

I think that means no. No I don't play magic.

Okay, Kaldaris, burn is for buttholes. You butthole. :)

I started playing in revised when mtg was first being released on the east coast so I basically got into it when it first came out. Before the CCG that started it all became infested with annoying whiny 13 year olds who bitch about the angle at which you tap cards, dump hundreds of dollars into optimizing their "trade binders", and use phrases like "I'm swinging for 10". Those were the good old days. When wotc loved the game more than the money.

Anyway, this thread isn't about ranting...I actually only have one deck, but I'm currently revamping it as well as buying cards for two others. The first deck is straight blue merfolk, using stuff like seasinger, tidal warrior, control magic, and good ol' counterspell to take control of the board. The other deck I'm making revolves around dumping handfuls of creatures to a vampire hounds, saccing all my other creatures (most of the stuff in the deck has good saccing abilities) and using haunting misery to finish the job. The final deck is going to be a sort of weakened "explosion" deck with scrybe sprites, giant growths, unstable mutation and the like.

After having to sit through some family reuinion bs, watching my cousins play it for 4 hours, I decided to shoot myself if I ever thought of buying those cards. Its so freaking boring! I wouldn't play it if they payed me -.-;;

Yeah I play.. I dont have a deck, or people to play with at the moment but when i do.

swamp decks are brutal. Thier ability to destroy enemy creature cards, and deal direct damage to opponents life is awesome. This a friend of mine favorite setup.

Mountain decks. good for destoying mana, and dealing direct damage. Problem is one COP: Red will put a direct damage deck out of commision.

My personal set up is the White deck. Mostly becuase gain life, and COP's are a bitch. its major weakness though is it lacks in direct damage, and stong creatures.

I play it, but not often.

3 years ago my mom bought me 2 "starter decks" for my birthday after seeing how much I was interested in them. (at the time she had this freind who had around 750 magic cards)

I only ever played with my sister, I couldn't find anybody else who played them. A year later I recieved one deck and 5 small packages of 15 cards. I put together and all Forest deck and a Black/Blue deck. I still only played with my sister, on a count of nobody else wanting to play...

Not too many people mainboard COPs though, which is why burn is so outrageously overpowered.

Yes, there are some great cards to combat direct damage decks, but most people aren't likely to build a deck with combatting direct damage in mind. Plus, how likely do you think that a burn wizard is going to see an aegis of honor and untapped mana source in play and still play a burn spell?
