Plus some of them were freakin' huge! Plus the characters weren't some clueless kid talked to a mouse.. :S
Wow... What a show of ignorance. Ash doesn't know about his Pokemon's power, true. Isn't it natural that you have to learn over time? He becomes quite knowledgable, too. I'd also like to ask
how a Snorlax or Mediacham looks like "real" animals?
Now to mark your Digimon knowledge false... Tai didn't have a
clue what was going on, and Izzy had to slowly figure it all out. Every season has been this way, except the second season who had the first season kids to fall back on. Greymon also has this distrinct look of a Tyrannasourus Rex. Weregurumon looks like a werewolf.
Both shows display a lot of similiarities to "real world" aspects. The primary reason I know this is because, well, I have a lot of time on my hands. I'm not obsessed -- looking for as much info as possible via the Internet -- but I do watch shows, and I'm able to get a pretty good grasp of things just interpretting what I see.
Digimon, to me, seems like a cheap knockoff of Tamagachi. The creatures were uninspired, drawing
directly from real world, fantasy, and imagined creatures. Pokemon, at least, has decent RPG aspects to everything -- manga, show, and games. It's also more realistic
in terms of devestating attacks being few and far between, while little attacks can grow and become stronger with the character.
Meh, why am I saying all this? I don't know; I'm bored.
