Though it may seem unfair, and pointless to you, the runewords do indeed serve a purpose. If Blizzard upped the difficulty on everything, they should make better items, too? Some of the runewords are a bit overpowered, but it's all pretty balanced for the most part. Just getting the items isn't. And that's something that you'll need to deal with. If you can't, then you really shouldn't be playing or disregarding anything Blizzard does to their games. ><

First of all - the definition of legit will always be argued - especially here in 1.10.... but you have to recognize what once Was nonlegit. As said before... you dont see people running around with ITH's, White rings, Hexs, 4 socket .08 Valors, Quarks, etc... and Those were just from .09 days.

If you entitled this "The items I will bitch at blizz because they are overpowering" this thread may still be civil with people Agreeing with you.

If you don't like the items, go right ahead and stick to other items. The other thing is - there are PLENTY of other overpowering items out there you left out. Whether or not you use them and chose to neglect them, or that you simply overlooked them doesnt really matter. All the makers did was raise the bar of the top items. Also you must remember - this game is not profitable for the makers from long term members. The ONLY way blizzard will get enough money from this game to obtain a free bnet, with support etc - for such a dated game, will be getting new people to buy the game. What is a good way to market that? Make it a little easier to get good items. Now all you gotta do is get some good runes and you are on your way to a good weapon. They need more people buying the disk, not using the server.

If you don't like how such a political game has become - by all means, go outside and play a sport. There are plenty of great uniques that can overpower runewords. Take a look at the godly uniques that were introduced in 1.10, and those that were re-introduced from other patches. Herald of Zakarum is still better than the overrated Exile. Delerium is cute, but shako-coa-rockstopper-rares etc still beat runewords on that spot. Is verdungos not a good new unique? Do you not like lev armour, glad bane, valor, etc? What wrong with an upgraded rare sword with 400 ish ed, and great AR mods? You can make a viable build with NO runewords.

Teleport from an enigma is fine. Shit... Sorceress vets would take letting people use enigma > facing somebody with white rings any day.

If you dont like the game, it doesnt like you.

I did something better - I'm now playing a mod (legitly, IMHO).

If Blizzard wanted to make money they should've made a GOOD server (in other words, a lot less swamped, a lot less lag) for people who would be willing to pay for one. I know I would for open b.net.

I would never pay for a game such as Diablo II to play online and many others also agree.
Maybe if it was a game that allowed more than 8 people in a game I might.

The make money selling cds... I wasnt talking about making the internet service charged.

Besides... 95% of the time, lag is Your computer and Your internet. I hardly lag on the computer I am on now... at All. Ever. But sometimes on lame computers it gets laggy.

That, as well as more content added, etc. Basically MMO benefits without the MMO, I would definately pay. But otherwise, no. They don't show enough interest in it regardless of what anyone says too. :-/
