When I was a teenager I was put on all sorts of meds. You name it, I was probably on it for at least a month or two. They even put me on ADHD meds for awhile.
I never found anything that made me feel any better. Some would make me sleep all day, some would make me cry all day. Some would have me spinning like a top, one of them even made my airways swell up. I don't remember hitting the ground but I still have the scar.
One of my very close friends is bipolar. He just turned 40 and has finally after a lifetime of taking pills that didn't help, found the right ones.
It can take a very long time to find something that works for you.
Last year a friend of mine (who, for the most part seemed like a sane, mellow, and generally nice dude) couldn't afford his meds. He went crazy. He killed his ex-wifes new husband, his son, and shot his ex in the lower body 3 times. Then, used the chainsaw that he had used to gain entry. Into their home, to cut off her hand. She was a tattoo artist.
Basically I'm saying if you are going to get on meds, be careful. You never know how it's going to affect you.
I stopped taking the pills and ran away for awhile. I never liked the way I felt on them. I went back to good ol marahuana.
It prob wouldn't hurt to just talk to a doctor about it. They can give you a better idea of your options where that is concerned.
