remember, its not like you can go pick up a machine gun from your local hardware store for $100, machine guns(specifically, you can get an ak-47(note: automatic rifle, not machine gun) for like $200 easy) cost thousands of dollars, and arent very easy to find or buy, legal or illegal. anyone who wants to kill you that bad is going to kill you no matter what, there are other ways. they could buy like 20 gallons of gasoline from the gas station down the street and blow your whole ****in house up.

or make some ap powder or tnt. its not hard. i just made enough black powder this weekend for a sizeable explosion(sizeable as in if you are within 15 feet, you're dead instantly, not even a chance of survival).

you need a licence to buy bullets for christ sake, and i could get almost any weapon i wanted within a week if i was willing to bend the law slightly

the ban on rifles was bullshit anyways. It was onle for some models. I dont have exact names, since I'm not a rifle fanatic, but the AK-47 rifle was illegal, whereas an imiatation, forgot the name, where the external design is the only difference was legal. Stupid country.

As for AK-47s, they are closer to 200-300$, not several thousands, and very easy to get illegally, or legally depending on your location. Thats why its popular. Common and cheap, good for terrorists and such. Also, only a ****tard would shoot up a city with an assault rifle. Heres what you do: Wear gloves and steal a policemans gun, then discard it when you're done, and its untraceable. Also, higher calibur bullets would be needed, aswell as some sort of an escape. Good luck hiding a rifle on a plane. As for airport security, its a joke. I went from WA to denver, with a 9 inch knife in my bag, not knowing it was there, musta fell in.. And they didnt find it. idiots.

In my opinion, the rights of one is overpowered by the safety of the majority, and thats how the government sees it. **** rifles.

I live in California, automatic weapons are illegal here, as well as "assault" weapons(the system for deciding assault weapons is retarded, its a bunch of pansy-assed politicians pointing at pictures of weapons and deciding that they are "assault" weapons based solely on how they look. the technical definition for an assault weapon is simply an automatic weapon).
the thing is, everyone who has ever fired a gun(the police included) realize that this law is bullshit, and it isnt enforced at all(the only time it comes into play is when a crime is comitted with that weapon). you can pick up an ak-47 or sks or something for like $100-150 for a civillian version(semi-auto), complete with banana clip and sling, and spend like $50 buying a conversion kit(which is legal by the way) to turn it into an automatic weapon. or do it yourself for free. if you wanted to buy an automatic ak on the black market it would probably cost you more, maybe $500.

the reason ak's are so cheap is because they are extremely simple, and the soviet union created and stockpiled millions of them.

hell, this guy i know, owns a pistol-grip semi-auto shotgun with a detachable 20 round drum, and its only considered an "assault weapon" when he puts the collapsable stock on. laws are retarded.

Naft, you're 100% right. The people deciding the laws have no experience with guns whatsoever. My friend owns around 17 assault rifles that arent classified as assault, and 2 that are. Freaking idiots fill the face of this earth.

No. I'm just saying you coul care a little bit more in the event that something like that happens, that's all. I would care, but my neighborhood is filled with crazy black people, so therefore, I have it worse.
