Creating d2 item files

Does anybody know how to make 1.10 item files that can be imported into Zonfire editor (the latest one)?

I've downloaded some 1.10 files, and they work fine in the game, yet they can't be imported into the hero editor, so just wondering what's wrong?

And if the problem can't be fixed, then it would be equally good if somebody could tell me how to make my own item files so I can edit them.
