Coolest sci-fi movie (semi-recent)

matrix is sci fi movie for one reason...the action happends in future..a probable future. Science fiction...is not based on reality it happends in future. To be honnest minority report is more and action movie than scfi fi. truly scfi fi are tar trek, start wars, aliens..things with space..sorta..wich envolves evolution...or many many years of advanced tehlogogy and conquering other planets..

Mortal combat series are martial arts combined with fantasy..they not sci fi..not in this life time.

And reign of fire...not trully sci-fi but around it...pitch black comes a lot closer to the sci-fi category.

A story doesn't have to take place in the future to be sci-fi. Back to the Future certainly didn't take place in the future

heheheh...well it is sci -fi for on reason...it has that super sonic car ..and he travel in space and through time....and if i remeber well he goes once in the past and second time in the furture..so...

i cannot limit myself to scifi only... nor can i limit myself to movies only...

Reign of Fire (i love dragons and im a pyro)
Starship Troopers (i love a good bloodbath!)
Pitch Black (sweet creatures!)
All Aliens (sweet creatures!)
All things that are StarTrek! (mainly Voyager, gotta love Species 8472, any race that has the power to vaporize a whole planet are my friends!)
All that is Babylon 5 (mainly the Shadows! off the hook ships!)
Blade & Blade II (vamps are cool)
Final Fantasy: The Sprits Within (KICK A** 3D!)
All JPs (Dinos rule!)
All Tremmors (old movies, but cool nonetheless)
All Predators
T1, T2, & T3
All that is the Matrix! (mainly Last Flight of the Osiris(sp, been awhile), same KICK A** 3D as FF!)

The Shadows (Babylon 5)
The Vorlons(sp) (Babylon 5)

but by far 8472 and the Shadows are my favs, they want to kill all life! The Weak Shall Perish!
