Is communism a form of goverment? because a guy at school said it wasnt at all...and what was mao's title?

Communism is, technically speaking, the "perfect" form of government. In it, all people are equal and always provided for. The problem with the "perfect" governement is that perfection is required on everybody's part. It cannot work in a human environment because people are, inheritly, imperfect.

I guess you can't really call it a government when you think about the fact that there are no politicians, political parties, or "superiors" in society, and that includes no bosses in businesses.

It's hard to explain in short, really.

Communism is a step on the road to pure socialism, or clasless society. USSR for example was communist, but Lenin wanted to make it a pure socialist nation. He thought that eventually societies will disolve and everyone will be equal, but communism stayed and then Stalin came everyone forgot about the dream of socialism they once head. It was a dream of a perfect world, which turned into a nightmare.

yes that is true... back in the hay day... like 1870's-1900's there was socialism... which is exactly like communism. So it ended up not working.

Ok people, communism is NOT a government. It is an economic system which goes hand in hand with socialism, which is a form of government like communism. Get your facts straight.

Communism is mandated by the government and therefore becomes a form of government (i.e. government is the act of governing). Government in istelf is not an entirety of all things that incorporate the structure of a country.

And for the record, Communism fails because it works directly against the human spirit. Humans are like any other creature, they strive to be free, but in addition, humans naturally strive to improve their lives, and under Communism, this is rarely possible. Not to mention that Communism defeats invention. Why invent any news ideas or processes if it won't contribute to your overall quality of living? It's a very repressive situation that does nothing but provide an equally miserable life for every citizen.

USSR was communist we invented lots of stuff. Communism doesnt kill the invention it just makes it only state owned. it doesnt work against human spirit, it in theory supposed to make all people prepared for becoming equal, to prepare the nation for pure socialism.

Hehe, you mean the USSR "stole" lots of "stuff." USSR was notorious for stealing every invention they had. Just look at their space shuttle.

Dude, we didnt steal our nukes, we didnt steal AK-47 or a MIG. You stole too. And we didnt steal the technology that allowed as to put a man into space, a satellite into orbit and a first space station into space. There is also something wrong with your link, fix it. Among one of the things you stole is a 30 bullet magazin, we invented it first, you stole started using it during Vietnam war, because USSR gave them to Vietnamies. Before that you used 16 bullet magazins. There are many other things. Like a scuba.

Also, that link you gave tells nothing. There is a little thing called aerodinamics, it has to be that shape in order to fly, but if talking on that level then every sattelite build by US is build by using stolen technology.

the soviets didnt steal much of what they got, everyone kinda "got" nuclear weapons at the same time.
communism is a government, the ultamite supergovernment, but it didnt work out, people rebbeled, and doctors got paid like mickey d's guys, but they had a kickin flag too.

Flag was good and that my freind is a part of my national anthem. Its basically USSR anthem with few lines changed. But what both of them said is "Russia is our free nation" the anthem itself is somethere in chit-chat under the thread national anthems if it wasn't deleted yet.
