Final Fantasy Tactics was way too long in the sense that battles were long, so leveling up in preperation for other battles took awhile. If you half ass your way through that game, using every cheap trick in the book and scrapping by in battles, you can finish it at around 20 hours i think. It's extremely hard though, and requires doing battles multiple times to get it just right though, so it's not really beating it in 20 hours...
