C:\Program Files\Diablo II\save\USEast

if you have an account with characters on that realm, you will see ma0's files.

these are pretty much useless.

However, i was messing with the files and everytime you join a game a little information is written into the file.

i then made a game called t.
i gave me some werid symbols.

i made a game called tb.
it gave me the same weird symbols for t and some new ones from b.

this is proof that bnet reads those files , off your comp to log your recent game joinings.

I have a theory that if you delete these files, every other game you will not get a r/d.

they are not backups of your characters moron, learn about something before you try to tell other people about it. How about this, go log onto open with your close characters right now.

if thats what they are. Those same files are made on single player.
But single player saves are .d2s

Also note deleting ma0's make the land yo uexplored not visble any more on the mini-map.

idiocy at a whole new level. your characters are saved on the server so pretty much anything you do will be purely client side.

maybe if you knock your tower over it was cause a rollback -_-

sometimes when the server goes down or something, rumor has it bnet saves a quick backup on your computer.

no, they arent backup's. Move those char files to diablo ii\save, and try to load them. The main file for a save game file is .d2s

why would you want to? just use mh.

and hacking a map file for 1 character wouldnt help you (even if thats what that file is) think about it. when you join a new game, a NEW WORLD is created.

what about making a single player character over and over so u have all the possible map combinations?
then just copy and paste them over your realm files.
