I just bought Rosetta Stone lessons 1/2, I couldn't find 3 so I'm guessing it's not available for purchase yet. Anyone here fluent in Japanese that I can practice with when I BORED?

i heard somewhere rosetta stone was inacurate in the grammar side of it in a few languages. i was learning dutch with it, till i found out it was wrong some parts. unless a newer version fixed it..

Volume 2.

Volume 3 is out and i think it has improved on the failings of it's predecessor.

I don't think I've ever learned a language properly without proper instruction. And if you're learning Chinese, have fun just trying to get the intonations right.

another good thing to do is watch Japanese movies/t.v shows.

the best way is to buy a foreign language translation book....and speak to your peers on the language you want to learn, let them understand you....

listen to the music. talk with a X speaking person. surround yourself with the script etc.

the best is to just visit the country or make a X speaking friend.

I dropped on my 2nd semester. I might pick it up again, but I dunno.

One of my only friends learned Russian through his girlfriend/fiance. Russian was her first language.

You could always just get certified to teach english as a second language and move to japan to work.
