I think he is a really good public speaker and is very empowering. McCain is just a little too weak sounding for me.
Is what he says the truth or fabrications to persaide the American people to support him. personally I dont like any politician, they are all liers, and the whole vote thing is rigged to who has the most money.

Barack Hussein Obama is a terrorist-loving Muslim. And since Muslims hate Americans and everything they stand for, Obama himself stands against everything the United States of America truly stands for. This, my friends, is what you vote for if you vote for Obama. By voting for Obama, you support Muslims and their terrorist ways--the legacy of the Hussein.

That's almost a direct quote from my Grandma. I love her to bits, but please...

Think of important events and people during President Bush's near eight-year tenure for a moment..

Iraq, Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden

Does anyone else have a hard time swallowing this as a coincidence?
That is by far, the worst preception of the person I have ever seen.

Just because the name is closely similar to a war-torn country, a deceased dictator who was on America's Most Wanted list for a long time, and the leader of Al-Qaeda doesn't make Barack Obama a terrorist or a nazi-like dictator in any form.

Plus, Obama has no Muslim roots, his father is Kenyan and was an Athiest.

And if people voted for McCain because of that perception (which there are people that have), than you seriously are retarded and should never vote at ALL.

I say, give the guy a chance for 4 years and we shall see how he turns out.

Before the presidential elections I never really thought it was that big of a deal. However the bigots in the central united states seem to think that anybody who has a name with Mohhamed or Hussein is a terrorist. Sad.

Just watched the first presidential press conference by mr Obama live on TV today. Wasn't half bad. Looks like he'll be really focusing on the environment this time around.

You'd think there are more pressing issues then the environment atm. I'm more interested about how the stimulus package is going to save the world. What is US's current budget deficit, a trillion dollars?

The creating more jobs part of the stimulus makes sense though.

Finally some issues I wish to talk about.

First off, I agree with Vanya. There are more important issues to consider atm rather than "Global Warming" which i do not agree with. Yea yea say what you will but I believe it still needs more research before we actually make large scale changes to our plants to meet emission restrictions etc. I.m.o. the earth goes through heating and cooling phases.

I watched the news a few days ago and it showed a California plant saying it will have to cut jobs just to have enough money to make the changes it needs to reduce carbon emissions. He also went on to say that there is a chance that it will just have to shut down. I mean we are trying to fix one problem and creating a even bigger one? If Americans are not working, we are not spending... How is this helping our economy which should be our main focus.

All eyes are on America as our politicians and economist try to come up with a solution to get us out of a recession. First we have a stimulus package that was passed rather quickly.... Hell I don't even know what all it has in it and I will have to take some time to read what all actually is in it. Further more, some Americans who actually need relief may not qualify for it.... wtf!? Even then there is talk of a second stimulus package? What the hell is going on here!?

Found this about stimulus packages.

Let's know pros, cons of stimulus package
