Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by mycobacteria. Smoking has nothing to do with it.

Also: It is estimated that the US has 25,000 new cases of tuberculosis each year, 40% of which occur in immigrants from countries where tuberculosis is endemic.

I just quit smoking (cigarettes) about two weeks ago. I only plan on smoking when I drink now. It sucks though whenever I'm at class and my friends are all smoking and I have to go pure willpower to not light one up.

This statement is rather irksome. When you take a flame and burn a plant or tree or any related organic matter no matter what the smoke is extremely disgusting. Cigarettes and Pot are equally terrible for your lungs. Pot has carcinogens. If he has TB, and is having problems with his lungs, smoking pot will be just as bad as smoking cigarettes.

People who smoke just smoke cigarettes vs. people who just smoke cannabis is different. The average smoker inhales a lot more smoke (and other crap) than your average pot smoker.

That is actually irrelevant. Smoking 1 joint is the equivalent to smoking 5 cigarettes in terms of tar and realistically, smoking marijuana involves much deeper longer breaths than a cigarette smokers. The base chemicals inhaled are different, but the fact remains the lungs are still damaged.
