Jenny told you blatantly that links to porn and shock sites get you banned. You did exactly that, now you are banned. Where's the confusion here?

EDIT: Oh and you must be disqualified. How is it fair to everyone else that's worked hard for the contest if someone that's banned still get's to participate. And i do believe in the contest rules you must be registered, and i don't think being banned counts as registered.

Clearly, i was joking and it was a stupid accident so i believe i still get the chance to be unbanned before the contest is finish.

it was not for the sake of posting, we were discussing and joking around. yes it was pretty much stupid.

@ professor? why are you saying that im disqualified at the contest. The rules didn't say that you'll be disqualified if your banned. are you some kind of an admin for saying that?

I am going to start off with Sorry about this but:

A shock site is a website that is intended to be offensive or disturbing to its viewers, containing materials of high shock value which is also considered distasteful and crude, and is generally of a pornographic, scatological, extremely violent, extremely profane, or extremely provocative nature. Some shock sites display a single picture, animation, or video clip, or a small gallery, and are often passed around via email or disguised in posts to discussion sites as a hoax in an attempt to trick readers into following the link to the website. Other shock sites are merely websites that openly display shocking material.

Regardless of a status to explain something or it being a joke, porn or shock sites ARE STILL porn and shock sites. No excuses. What bothers me a lot is that Jenny told you to NOT post them because it was against the rules, and you did so anyways out of example. No offense, but if I were you, I would have heeded Jenny's warning and no go through with it, regardless of the reason.

Also, members are the only participants allowed in this contest, and members have to follow the rules of Battleforums to the letter.

The first link was ok, it was really just a pic of girls in a hottub not naked, but if you were to post the homepage link, you would have been smashed for a porn post.

The second link was clearly a shock site, it is crap like that makes something like tubgirl a "shock site", because it carries a high shock value. It is extremely disturbing and shouldnt be allowed on this site. It is against US Law to allow public forums to post and display that stuff on thier sites, its only if you "pay" for it you actually can.

Third, it's up to Donny to decide if you are DQed or not. I personally wouldn't DQ you unless I specifically mentioned it in the rules. However, you cannot earn points.

Finally, I was the one who banned you with this evidence. And the post is in the Locker, Donny may not really help you when he looks at it. You will be able to re-access your account in 7 days at 6:00PM. Until then, you cannot logon to battleforums on any other account after today or any multis will be permabanned, and your ban may be extended.

Luckily you got a week because this is like your first week here, if that wasn't the circumstance, I would have permabanned you. And if you still believe posting it out of joke or example was "ok", let me tell you a ban that happened recently to someone, by the name of Little-Cheeze. He was permabanned for posting Tubgirl on Flea's account, over a Diablo II dispute. He told me this, and 11 days later, it was used against him as a permaban. It's just something the newbies need to watch out for.

And why was there a 2 page argument over soemthing so trivial?

well im new i dont know much about the rules etc and plus the fact that there is a contest on so i dont have much time to go and explore on forum rules etc.

also im not american i dont know much about American forums rules etc.

honestly, ive followed all the rules to become a member it was just some silly accidental unintentional mistake.

yeah i might have overlooked jenny's warning about shock site because i was so excited and trying to come up with something, and if you look closely its nothing close to a shocking pic/article if you consider that i was just kinda joking. Its just too bad that the main link/site was shocking and i never had the time notice it anyway.

ok i was whining but not about being disqualified but by not being able to post while the contest is still going on.

its just sad that it just gotten worst, we are talking about disqualification now just because some members like professor and renzo mentioned it and wants to take advantage.

i hope donny will see both of the pic and article i posted.

so when will donny be available for cofrontation? i need to talk to him asap before the contest ends. and donny should read this thread for more info.

im just disappointed that it happened during a contest.

Take advantage? It seems like the logical course of action. If an olympic athlete breaks the rules he's disqualified. One of Australia's best swimmers got into a little bar scuffle and they ended up not letting him compete because of it. You break the rules, you get punished.

You also need to realize that Mike & Renzo are just stating the facts as they see them. It's just they like to do it in a manner that suits the atmosphere.

But although it may be a joke to you, there are some of us that don't exactly like looking or reading those kind of things. And personally, anything I see with **** or porn or unnecessary bodily acts I would consider as a shock site. You need to respect this, especially how the staff/admin see things.

Unfortunately, you will have to remain banned for the duration of your penalty. However, I will be sympathetic and allow you to remain in the contest. However, you will not be allowed to, of course, add points to your count through posting and referrals. You will also be limited through other means of getting points.
