True. But most of the info is provided by the people who still play a lot. We have a few, enough to hold off that sort of thing. Mostly though, the questions that usually circle through the Forums are easily answered with common sense, or by linking them to a site that has all the information presented for them.
That is because Diablo is an rpg. A game like FPSes and Strategies may need player experience to solve. Other than that, you bring a valid case!

Exactally my point. Nothing has changed. People are still using the same builds to become uber, and still just doing cow / baal runs. There isn't much to the game if you boil it down to the little bitties and such. The new runewords would take about 40 seconds to look up on BNet, and I doubt anyone here modwise has all the runewords memorized.
i do, but nobody cares, since I'm not a mod in this section and I rarely post here.

So what you're telling me, is that you have every runeword memorized, with what each one does, and you can name the runes and what order and what it does off the top of your head?

In d2, you dont need to play the game to make guides, all you need is bnet/diablo2exp and other good resources.

You dont need to play the game to moderate, as moderator, all you're requireed to do is close sticky split move open threads, nothing more. You members (other), are/should be the ones who keeps up with new stuffs in d2, post them, discuss, update guides if necessary, or even post guides, moderators arent required to do that for you...

thats my opinion.

But it would help if you have experience to back up some claims. The best part about games is making a character you like with your own strategy and cherish it.

I'm talking every rune, not just the new ones.

Yeah, but nowadays thats hard to do, Hellwolf person. Diablo II's fun factor is down the crapper and on the way to the trash dump. People are real pricks online and trading is either competitive or stupid, whichever way you look at it. Most people just bought a different game and moved on.

Hmm lets see Darkie-chan. Here are some factors that made the game to the trash can.
-Maphack
-Looped Events (smae thing over and over like baal runs)
-PK (Player Killing)
-Stores sold Diablo 2 junk
-People get obsessed with character building and just getting the items
-Nothing funny except the moo moo farm
-Eventually the real challenege happens in hell.

Yeah right. With runeword gear you can rape hell for the most part. A major problem with D2, I think, are Synergies. They made most spellcasters overpowered, but then the melee/ranged characters have insane runeword items to beef them up, and in the end it makes only the rich people powerful! /stereotype

Seriously, I just dislike Runewords. Tune them down or makwe the monsters harder in Hell, or something. When I last played, people with high-end gear would make hell their bitch.

although hell is pretty ez with the high runewords, its still harder than it was in 1.09.

Thats true. But In 1.09, Hell was easy to fit with the gear they had. (Most of it, then hacked gear came out and everyone killed everything in like one hit.)

That bastard runeword system was another reason why hell looks like child's play.

Do you think the new items and additions they added make up for the difficulty that hell brings now?

the immunes in hell offer the more difficutly, i believe hell mode is a bit harder now, but it still isnt a problem if you got a good build and you got a friend that can pwn the ones that are immune to you, lol

This thread has drifted horribly awry, I'm afraid. If anyone is concerned about the current issue of the Diablo II Staff, contact Sweaty Ogre, or an Administrator. This really isn't Diablo-related, but it was nice hearing everyones opinions, atleast until the thread drifted off.
