evolution may occurs when there is a genetic mutation to an animal. The mutation is undetected by the cells or something in the body and slips by to birth. The mutation could affect looks, body functions, physical strength maybe, etc. There is when evolution occurs if the animal mates and the trait is passed on to the child.

Well I believe in evolution and God, I can comprehend a universe in which God exists and evolution also takes place. Evolution takes many generations in order for it to take place. It is not a sudden process. It takes place by natural selection which means that the animals with the most favorable traits (genes) will survive and pass their favorable traits on to the next generation and those with less favorable traits will have a harder time surviving and are less likely to survive. One such example is bacteria, some strains of bacteria have become immuned to antibacterial medication because of overuse. This is because so many generations have been exposed to it that only the ones that have most likely mutated in some way over the years will be able to survive in the conditions with the antibacterial medication. It's kind of hard to explain here but then again it is a sort of long and complicated process.

i understand this concept, but you are still missing the point. how is it that you believe that these genes are "mutated?"
