no. We don't know what killed of the dinosaurs, but their inevitable removal was party a result (and we do know this) that they eventually evolved away from the monsters to more survivable creatures in what would come from a changing climate.

Some say it was meteorite that started the ice age. But we will never know until someone invents a time machine.
