Are you joking me? Chrono trigger is one of the best adventure/quest games ever made. Act Raiser cut loose, and was an awesome platforming/god game. Two of the biggest genres of the time, and it did so in an AWESOME way.

Chrono trigger had EVERYTHING a game needed to be truly great.
1. Innovative fighting system
2. Multiple endings
3. Pumping out crazy combos. **** YEAH!

Hell, there's even a cameo or two from FFVI! AND the power glove!

Megaman X, was a huge face lift from previous games, and was one of the most popular third party SNES continued series in existence.

Chrono Trigger was ok.

In my opinion as long as you have touched the following games its ok.

A Nintendo Game
Any of the retro stuff (pac man, missile command, etc)

I still havent found a game that grabbed my balls and took me for a ride. so my list is just that.

Yes, but see. It's ten games people SHOULD play before they die. Keyword being SHOULD. If I were to make a list of the most popular games, it would be a vastly different list.

However, it was based on quality not popularity.

I'm surprised Fallout 2, Grim Fandango and Monkey Island aren't included in there. Fallout is the best RPG ever - just changing the statistics can turn the game around and I love replaying the game just to get different endings. And Grim Fandango and Monkey Island are the best adventure games for laughs and puzzle solving. Who would have thought I had to pick up those ugly nits/lice to get rid of Captain Rottingham?
