Is there any way for a zealot to kill a smiter?

A good Vindicator with a grief (saying both are as good as eachother)? no. Without grief, yes.

With Grief around, vindicators (smiters) are the "new pink", so to speak. 90% of smiters out there now are inferior builds. A zealot equipped with Grief can often beat those smiters with just that 1 point in smite.

But if you mean using the skill zeal against smite, then generally, unless you have a ridiculously high amount of AR and/or the opponent has terrible defense, you probably won't hit enough to win.

a good smiter with grief? No. bad smiter with shit. Yes
