Your Favorite Barb Build?

I realized tonight that after playing d2 on and off for over 2 years...i've never had a barbarian past level 9.

What barb have you had the most fun with?

Probably making a Frenzy barb, but realizing they aren't worth shit in hell if you dont have the godliest gear for them (because they can't block).

I would have to say Warcry Barb = Funnest character in the GAME to play. Those who have played one know this.

Ww barb is the best. In PvM, with a 2-handed weapon which makes tons of damage (Ghost Spear, Great Poleax or War Pike are the most common choices).

Edit: Is there a decent wep to sub in for a spear ww barb...and not utterly suck?

I love the Frenzy Barb, damn fun to go nutz with those swords.

I made a Concentration full IK barb, he's a fun build.

I'm working on a WW/Frenzy barb now. So far he's not bad.

Frenzy Looks like a good time. So Im going to give it a whirl... heres what Im thinking, any comments/suggestions/flames are welcome

To start 98 Skills from levels, 12 from quests = 110 Correct?

20 Frenzy
20 Double Swing
20 Axe Mastery
20 Battle Orders
20 Shout
[1 Bash]
[1 Double Throw]
[1 Battle Command]
[1 Increased Speed]
[1 Increased Stamina]
[1 Natural Resist]
[1 Iron Skin]

107 Total.

I know you think im crazy, and it couldnt be fully finished until what... 96 Or So...

But looks like a sweet setup to me... am I missing anything?

Well that would be nice, but is there anything that could actually be dropped and still have a good to godly frenzy barb?

A point at least should do it.

Oh, and if you want godly, go for 2 Eth 400% Highland Blades (most 1h dmg), with 20% IAS, 9% LL, and Zods. Those would surely pwn so much.

Ok, I have a Frenzzy Barb on west, and I must say i love him. I only die to Iron Maiden in PVM, and as for PVP, don't do that unless your fighting Bowazons ^_^.


Anyways, here's what I did:

20 Frenzy
20 Sword mastery
20 Battle orders
20 Double swing
6 Beserk
8 Taunt
1 In all other needed skills to reach those.

I don't care for DEF much, Life Tap always keeps me healthy with BO's I got 12045 Defence. This is what I use

Weapons:
224/233 % GF's

Armor:
1.10 178/2/15 Valor (40/15)

Helm:
1.10 197/6% Arreats Face (40/15)

Belt:
35/15 Verdungo's Hearty Coil

Rings:
20/205 Raven Frost
Raven Spirial

Gloves:
8/15 Draculs Grasp (I can;t live without these)

Boots:
Gore Riders

Amulet:
Chaos Noose (2+ all 19 Str/Dex 50+ Life 7% LL 75% reduced posion time lvl 27 Req )

Stats are:
344 Str
221 Dex
355 Vit
Base Energy, although it's around 60 cuz of GF's and Anni

15/11/5% Anni Small Charm
All other garms are 16-20 Life Vita small charms with mods. I have no room in my inventory.

My barb is lvl 90. He's pretty Beefy with 5k life when BO'ed, and with Draculs + Frenized double swing you cant get any better then that for me. ^_^

The speed advantages of Frenzy are nice. At lvl 31, my Frenzy adds 450% + damage, a good 300%+ ATA, and 47-183 % Faster Run/Walk and a good ammount of IAS as well.


For me, WW brbs are too plain. Overly used. I made a Frenzy barb, which is this guy, and I wont make another WW barb ever.

As I've previously mentioned, I've tried this build a number of times, with a number of different and innovative configurations, and I have yet to find a build that suits me. However, the next on my list to try is an axe master ds frenzy barb, so perhaps you'd like to give that a shot and give me a report. I don't really know how wealthy you are, but with two eth cleavers, this could be the way to get this build godly. From those alone you'd have all the ds you needed. Or, you could try a variant, like eth cleaver+beast zerker+g face+highlords. Theres a few possibilities to consider. Even if you don't give it a shot, I'll eventually get around to it, and let everyone know.
