SF works on my computer. The only problem is when you are making a location, I know that you can make the location outside of the original grid squares & place them off set. Well, I have had SF for like 6 months now & have never had any problems. But just like 2 weeks ago, I can only make the locations within the grid square (Like SCXE v2.6). I have uninstalled and reinstalled SF I don’t know how many times. I have also dl SF from different sites thinking that it might be the SF. I have taken the SF and installed it onto a friend’s computer and it works fine (aka. the location being made wherever you want it to go{out side of the grid squares}). Hence, the problem must be in my computer…s.o.m.e.h.o.w…????

When I say grid squares I mean when you turn on “Show Grid†under the Edit menu. :hbut

Here's another SF question. It just started after I turned off the "Snap to Grid". Everytime I load or save a map, SF makes a .bak.scx, .bak.scm or whatever in the same folder that I am saving it in. Other then just being really annoying, nothing is wrong. I have tried looking for a back up option to turn off or something in SF but have not been able to find anything of the sort. I have never had SF make a .bak.*.* file before so if SF is supposed to make one first place, then more power to me in the past 6 months I guess. Any thoughts?

I didin't get the last 2 sentences you said, but the question you said is beyond my knowledge to answer. That is something the creator of the program could probably answer. And it seems that he has left this place.

SCMDraft v2 is worse. It creates 2 backup files.
Example:
Map.scm
Map.scm.bac0
Map.scm.bac1

I am sorry if I did not clarify more clearly what I was trying to say in my last post.
I have never used SCMDraft. The 2 editors that I use is SF 2.2 and SCXE v2.6. It's just that SF is making the .bak.scm or .bak.scx file.
Whenever I am saving a game in SF (ei boom.scx) in folder "c:\starcraft\maps\", SF makes a backup file of that map in the "c:\starcraft\maps\" folder. So I have a boom.bak.scx and a boom.scx map file in the "c:\starcraft\maps\" folder. I have never had SF make a backup file before and I want to turn it off. I’m tired of deleting all the .bak.scx files.

PS Even though I have Download SF v2.2 and installed it, why does it still say v2.0 in the "About SF" under help?

Same thing with SCXE 2.6. It says version 2.5 in the About screen.
But for the .bac.scx file. Don't worry about it. It's actually there to help you. You don't need to delete it. It's not like it creates a different .bac.scx file everytime you save. It rewrites over the same .bac.scx file. Then after you are completely done with your map, you can delete it if you want.

I left SCMDraft on while I was eating or something and it auto saved enough times for the green text in the editor to cover the whole screen.:ufo
