There is a new Concept Engine by GM in which is a 12 banger, that is the size of a v8, but has displacement on demand so it runs like a inline 6 unless you hammer down! This is for better fuel economy. If you want to read more about it, i advise you to follow this link. When i make my next 20-25 grand, im throwing one of those in my jeep! lol.

not really concidering the engine, 750 HP at the size of a v8, which means you save on alot of weight. Also the gas mileage is awsome concidering it normally runs on inline six (half the cylinders shut down unless you hammerdown). After time (ALOT OF TIME) it will pay for itself on gas mileage, lol.

The engine I always wanted was introduced about 20 years ago, it was a ceramic turbine about the size of a basketball.
I can't remember the HP and such, but it was supposed to be very efficiant, powerful, and could run on anything from peanut oil to jet fuel.
But the oil companies bough the patent off the inventor and shoved it in a back room somewhere.

See: Jeeps, the new ones. One of them is a V8, but shuts down 2 or 4 cylinders to save on economy. GM is a little behind.
