Wtf is up with internet explorer, help

everytime i open it it goes to adress
about:blank
even when i set home webpage as like battleforums or w/e it still goes to it
also when i try to go on msn it does the same thing, automaticly takes me to that same stupid page about:blank, heres a link lol

thats it, no http:// w/e, i have delted cookies, temp internet folder, history ect, same problem the whole time, the only thing i havent done is dropped a bomb on my stupid comp

You have what is called a Browser Hi-Jacker. It will set your homepage settings to what it wants, and can install SearchBars and unwanted Spyware on your machine.

There are a couple options, but 2 free programs that work good.

You can use Lavasoft's Ad-Aware, or Spybot Search and Destroy.

Be careful when looking for Spybot, I just accidently clicked a link and Norton popped up said I had a Trojan Downloader.

Get CWSShredder (http://www.securegamers.com/Clean/cwshred157.zip) and Spybot Search & Destroy.

i tried the ad-aware, its not bad, but everytime i re-scan 3 files are found again,

My dad got it once, he tried all spyware removers (s&d, adaware) and still nothing. He gave up and reformatted, after deleting the file and changing it... It's a bugger.

Spybot is stronger in Registry cleaning, I believe, so yes.

I would just uninstall internet explorer. It's not as if Finder requires it to be a process.

If you look for a program named HiJackThis and run it, it'll do a quick scan of what you have on your computer.

In the log, look for any .exes and delete, those are the programs that keep replicating the spyware and malware when you delete it.

I had the same problem, my friend gave me the same advice, and it's gone.
