Are you worried about US <> Iraq and/or US <> North Korea? Personally, I think, with all the anti-Americanism going round, it's a crap idea to declare war.
I mean, what if the US attacked either? The US economy will shoot up (or crash down), but it will plunge the Eastern Economies down like hell. The Far East has already it's own problems with the Abu Sayaff group (who opperates in the Phillipines), not to mention Australian Prime Minister John Howard's stupid, stupid comment about the Far East being a haven for terrorists, and asking the UN for strikes to prevent terrorist attacks.
And look what happened in Afghanistan! After over 1 year, the US has failed to capture Osama. What have they done instead? Riddled the country with bombs and killed civilians! And I bet half the time they tried to bomb Osama, they hit another Taliban member and tried to spread it saying, "So-and-so, high leader of the Taliban was killed," like they intended to! And bombs have proved useless in caves, and no Osama!
Now, Iraq is much more densely populated than Afghanistan. Imagine throwing bombs like mad onto the country. Not only will it trigger death to civilians, it will trigger hate and anger.
So what if Iraq and North Korea have nuclear weapons. The US has more than those two together!
US President George Bush has pushed himself too far into a corner. Imagine if he decides to pull out of Iraq and/or North Korea. He'll be branded a coward, someone who thought he could go far but failed at the first hurdle. If he does strike, the world better run to Mars to hide.
War does not help terrorism. Rather, it sends the world into a sense of unease. Some people have lived through two world wars already. I hope this is not the third. And you're probably thinking what it has to do with me. Well, I'm in an International School in Malaysia, where there are many British, American and South Korean students here. Imagine this as one of the targets for one of the groups. I'm British, but I can't really return to Britain, seeing as it is a potential ally for the US and therefore a target for terrorists.
I'm only 14, and this will trigger quite a bit of hate, but I'd rather blurt it out to you lot, 'cos my parents tell me not to talk about it. But when it concerns my safety, I will say something.
Start preparing to hide, people!
