WMP not working

After a failed WMP9 install, I un-installed it and went back to WMP7, but it doesn't work. I can't open it.

Help.

registry setting. only way to delete that is to delete every location of WMP in the registry after uninstalling, or change the values to show that you are on version 7. or you could go back up to version 9...

It totally screwed up when it crashed, screwing up my startup so I was forced to install it.

On another thing, the WMP9 couldn't play some Gundam Seed MP3s I downloaded saying a codec was needed. WMP7 did it perfectly.

Help?

Mayb u need Codes for it, ummm try googling K-lite Codec Pack.

ummm... just download the codec. thats all it takes, and besides, thats all you needed to say!

Or should I just get Div-X?

Div X is good...
but when the error pops up, click on the thing that will take you to the microsoft site because it will have a link there to dl the codec..
