I know that WinMPQ is the way to make advanced spells and stuff, but how do you do it?*
Which MPQ do you extract it from?Hellwolf_36 said:You extract the MPQ file, then write it to a Excel Spreadsheet. Then add functions from other spells to them, using custom models and such to make them look cool. I believe that is how it works: I have the tools to do it.
Nah, I'm just curious because I am sick of waiting for the World Editor's Abilities and Buff/Effects tabs of the Object Editor to load after about a minute, if it doesn't crash.Darimus said:I've never felt the the need to edit war3map.w3a to make spells... Triggers serve my needs...
What kind of "advanced spells" are you trying to make? I bet some could be made with triggers
Yup. My solution is to trigger it by 'dragging' the unit there over time. But that sometimes lags and it never misses.*Hellwolf_36 said:Isn't that the one that drags the unit over to Pudge?
Thanks, man. Now I get a vague idea that I need to get a decent package, now that my 3D Studio Max 4 is ruined. *Hellwolf_36 said:Well location wise I would see.
It will pick a hero (which should have a location over it) then move the location there over time. Every 0.01 seconds or so as the location is moving. The unit is instantly moved there. The whip is done with custom modeling I think.
There aer 3 ways I see you can make spells:x42bn6 said:Thanks, man. Now I get a vague idea that I need to get a decent package, now that my 3D Studio Max 4 is ruined. *
