What are teatimer and ctfmon? I don't think they are neccessary. But you are running a lot at a time, so either get more ram or don't run as many programs at once.

You mean page faults, Theroy?

ctfmon is Microsoft's Speech thingy, there is a spyware version but Norton says it's fine.

TeaTimer is Spybot's Realtime protection which I use to track registry modifications and for immunity.

TeaTimer isn't a problem, it's supposed to solve problems.....

Spybot offers on-the-fly protection and TeaTimer does that.

If you properly remove Ctfmon (google it), your computer will work way better, since its a big memory hog, and not needed at all ^^

Yea, you might want to remove teatimer or what ever it is. That DOES take a large amount of memory usage from your computer. Unless you notice your computer not running very slow, then you might be okay.

It's not slow, it acts like any respectable 128MB RAM machine with too many windows does, and it's fine.....

Thanks for the responses. Though TeaTimer is a good thing. :(

I've never seen a program use so much ram...

Just get AdAware and run it whenever you are unsure of your computer, it doesn't have activescan so it doesn't hurt your resources.

And my computer uses over 300mb of ram idleing ;) Don't worry, I set it to do that...a little windows tweak that most people yell at me for until they see what it does for me ;) I posted a tutorial about that in here somewhere, if you are running slow that might help you.

If you are running XP, then I wouldn't doubt the memory usage problems...XP chokes on 256mb (even though only 64 is required).

You should see what happens when I open up a Java applet. (512MB++)

Guess I'll live with it. Thanks.

Well, both the computers I use, mine and my grandma's, are super memory hogs and neither my parents nor my grnadmother will get an update, so I'm savin' my money and I'm going to build my own machine, and keep as little programs on it as I can.
