Why me?

Hi! im on a lan and me and my friends plays private baals.. then i logg out and i get a ****ing ban..(rd) i have had it now for 3 hours only i have got it not my friends is this something new cd key ban or something? help me out..

(anyone knows how to fix it?) ( i would like to play..) :S :frustrate

Noticed you referred to rd... cause if you are talking about realm down - you most likely aren't banned from anything. I have had occurances where somebody sitting Right Next to me got RD randomly and I didn't - and I have had it where a small area near me got it. The best thing to do when you get RD'ed is simply wait as Long as you Can Possibly wait. Although it is my theory, I believe the more times you attempt to log on the longer itll be... I have tested it and it seemed right. Just be patient. If it is more than 24 hours, then ask again.

If you are running on a router, resetting it seems mto give you a new IP Address, and to me that usually negates a realm down. ^_^

so if you use cable your IP doesnt change ( i use dial up for the moment) and you just have to wait it out? theres no way to change it?

dial up= ip change every dial up
cable=no ip change NEVER
dsl= ip change
cable is generally faster then anythinjg but no ip change -.- it its upload is **** but you can host games all you want if you play wc3roc or tft
dsl is a hassle if you want to host games, but on the plus sides its upload can match its download its not always like that but it can. and i think dsl is more secure then cable i have had both and there is a MAJOR difference in pop ups

You can change your cable ip even if it's static. Just unplug your router for two hours and you're able to get a new IP.

Thx. And why is the upload shit? I have dial up right now and im think im going to buy cable (roadrunner to be exact) over DSL because its cheaper. Would that be a better choice? And which one has more pop ups. Well, i guess it doesnt matter cuz i can get a pop up blocker easily.
