Why can't I host Custom games?

or a router.... if you have a router you have to open up the port that wc3 maps run on...

Norton isn't only a firewall. They make a firewall and antivirus and other things. Just because someone has norton doesn't mean they have a firewall. I have norton System Works which is every Norton product except the firewall.

If he has the windows firewall on or any other then he cant host. the windows one sucks and is pointless to begin with.

not actually yourip.. but, type in your IP there, then, if you know the pw, type it in, then u can disable FW

You have a router problem, and if you cant find your router that N_ convieniently provided, go to www.portforward.com

If you haven't noticed... he said that his father won't let him open the port to host games, he said it was to bad himself (spx i mean), in other words he doesn't care anymore... So it would be good if a mod closed this post :D

i have hub which sort of acts like a firewall and i would like to host as well but if i disable it doesnt that mean my only protection is gone?

Can I open the port from my computer because my dad's computer is downstairs where the router is, My computer is upstairs(the one that I'm on right now) Is there anyway I can open it from here?

whats with the problem between wc3 and routers.... i have no problems playing lan and online games with my frends :\
