Whoopity dooo, what about a stormshield?

What is all the hoopla about the storm sheild...i have still yet to figure it out. Everday i look at it i just kick my self. Im bewildered why someone would want such a sucky ass shield. Please answer me this and reply. :rofl2 :usad

anyways, SS is one of the best shield in the game.. I dont see why you would call it sucky ass shield, there is probly no other shield I would replace against SS, its just, great, look at the stats I mean...

i wear ss and string of ears to get the full 50% dr

yea ive tried a lotta different shields for my zealot and SS takes the top. its different if ur smiter tho, cuz ud be using upped hoz. SS has crap smite dmg, and a bit of a high str req...and thats probably the only bad-ish things i see about it.

SS on a pally is horrible (unless you have to duel). Zaka > all shields on a pally.

However, SS is a marvellous solution for both PvM and PvP, if used on a lot of builds for other chars.

It's the best shield, imho, for:

- Javazon
- Wind druid
- Kicksins

and in PvP, it's used on nearly all chars. Cuz it has 35% dr, +str, good resists, a marvellous blocking percentage, a nice defense, and can be socketed with something useful (40 ed /15 ias jew or Um are common options). Oh, and it's indestructible = no gold to repair it.

where on earth are u gonna cough up 35% DR then? if ur dueling melee then u dont have to worry much about resists. Alma Negra beats HoZ for zealots. the only time i ever use HoZ (besides smiting) is for prebuffing Holy Shield.

SS also need more str. so Hammerdins will need to put more into str. to use the Ss.
HoZ also give +skills.

PvM = Zaka > all
PvP = SS, Alma negra, Exile can be better than Zaka.

This is what I said in my previous post.

In PvM, on a zealot, you don't really need the DR bonus from zaka, cuz you already have an insane leech and attack speed (and high life with the right gear), and you pwn without dr...

A hammerdin has a minimum of 18% dr (Shako + Enigma), and this is more than sufficient when associated to 75% block...

In pvp, you can need the max dr, so SS can be useful.

o alrighty. i missed the "for pvm" part.

hammerdins and fohers need the extra skills from HoZ, so SS is useless to them. smiters are better with upgraded HoZ, since SS and regular HoZ have crappy smite dmg. i guess those builds have more restricted setups, since there arent as many ways to max DR. (my V/T only has 40%...i need to get a Ber for my HoZ lol)

i can guess what ur trying to say, but "sucky" is rather harsh for a shield that most ppl think is good. if u wanna criticize something, give better reasons.
