Who where was happy with BW's ending and why?

I thought it was a good ending. I liked how the Zerg ending up owning everyone. It leaves it open to new and fresh characters because of some hero deaths (Stukov, Raszagal etc).

If SC2 ever comes out, the storyline would be very interesting. Protoss and Terran would have to ultimately team up if they want to own Kerrigan.

Blizzard has a thing about leaving the endings open. widely open.

Look, Diablo one ended where your character shoved Diablo's soul stone in his head, and the way it ended set up for a sequal which came in the form of Diablo II.
Diablo II b4 expansion ended with Baal getting away with his stone which set up for what many fans would later recieve in an expansion.

Warcraft I left it open, though had a crappy set up anyways. Warcraft II didnt really have the ending, but Warcraft II did, whereas Nerzhul destroyed their world opening portals and you never really found out what happened to him, until warcraft III.

Now Starcraft and Warcraft have very similar endings. Where SC have the Zerg take out everything, we see Arthas take the Frozen Throne at the end of TFT. This leaves it open for aynthign to happen, since you also see the rise of the forsaken undead, and u still don't know for sure if Illidan is dead.

Starcrafts ending was excellent.

I like Blizzard story lines if u can't tell.

"For I am Kerrigan, Queen of the Blades..."

I loves it :)

Because, as everyone said already, it indicates that there will either be something later (a new game, that is), or it leaves to your imagination the task of guessing the future. And I love both possibilities.

That'd more-than-likely be Duran's army. Go Duran go!

I just had a moment of clarity then! What if Duran was the one to kill Kerrigan in the end with his hybrids?

Either him, or Raynor. But both might be too obvious :-/

I would've thought that Duran actually going after Kerrigan, rather than doing his own thing would've been less obvious... :-/

I think the idea of a hybrid race being a new race in SC2 is stupid, cuase its the two races combined, and blizzard wouldn't put in 2-3 similar races. It would prolly be more an NPC for the story lines rather than playable if anything.

Hm.... also a zerg/toss hybrid would be superior to all other races, so that would destroy balance, unless the hybrid takes forever to make units, or takes many many many minerals, or.... if the races get HUGE upgrades that make them so much more stronger... a zerg capitol ship anyone?

Remember that Infested Terrans run incredibly fast and they have 60 HP, no matter how good the Marine is, the Infest Terran would've been the victor.

Unless it was Raynor... :sly
