Who do you think won the presidential debate?

I saw it during class, and i noticed that when bush asked for 30 secs more and he juss stared at the screen for like 4 secs and went on.

I laughed sooo hard and said Kerry is soo gonna win.

First, Bush ignores this question. "Do you think you can prevent another 9/11 attack?" Bush says, "Yes, I will win."

His speeches are absurd.

i think bush won because all kerry did e whevnevr bush asked him a question was litst who supported him on issues. and even outside of the debate Bush does not doubt Kerry's Service in Vietnam war, however Kerry just bashes Bush for not going to Vietnam and not fighing in that war. (and this makes one wonder why Kererry is so anti-iraqu war..hmm odd Bush doesnt go to vietnam..and Kerry yells. Bush goes to iRAQ, Kerrry yells. seems that Kerry cant hold an opinion, considering that all of "his opinions" are sraight from polls..whatever is the most popular, kerry is for.)

Sentence organization is just as important as having good grammer. That said, even if Kerry is a band-wagon jumper, isnt that what being president is all about? Letting your people choose and supporting their choice? Or what are you talking about?

When did he look at polls and support the war? The polls have always showed that this is an unpopular war and the majority of the people want out. If Kerry would look at these polls and base his opinion on such, then he has never supported this war. Furthermore, do you have any facts of him basing his opinions soley(sp?) on what the polls say?

Wow, you guys are shitheads. The only thing you can talk to about relating to the debate is "who won." I don't think that the point of the presidential debate was to pick a "winner" and a "loser"; saying so is basically degrading the debate to a level as primitive as a race.

Because so many points were brought up, and the fact that everything discussed in a political debate is strictly based on opinions rather than pure facts (Ie, 1+1=2), trying to point out who lost or who won is degrading the debate to a disgusting level.

Maybe you guys should try to discuss something important, such as the individual issues that were brought up, instead of trying to pull a cumulative judgement out of your ass.

The debate was composed of many topics.. identifying an overall winner is bullshit, and it's pretty obvious that people who support Kerry will say that Kerry won and people who support Bush will say that Bush won. Some people hold certain subjects in higher regard than others; so saying that someone won is your opinion, whereas a race is distinguished by a winner and a loser.

Oh, and Bush can run a lot faster than Kerry :usad ..

Now you're probably thinking "Goddamn I just came up with a highly educated opinion to shut these people up and they will try to calm me down." Well, yes. You see these debates are a mockery. Everything is scripted, they don't question anything real. No topics that haven't been brought up in their rehearsal isn't allowed. Nothing. Its all a show for you to believe what you just did, and make themselves look good.

I think most of the people who have responded in this thread don't really give a shit about the individual topics; the only thing that they can actually comprehend is the idea of a winner and a loser. Maybe it makes it seem more exciting for them, since they have an average attention span of about 10 seconds.

ok, instead of looking at someone else's evaluation of how the presidential or vp debates went, print this out or something and critique the debate on friday using the methods found on the site i have provided.
