White rune word question

I have a 2 socketed wand, but the wand already has +2 to summon resist to it... does the rune words till work or do I need a wand with no bonuses on it? Dol + Io

Using that wand will work..as long as the wand is magical..just plain

think of it this way: any item that doesnt have to be identified (or crafted) will work in runewords.

any atributes the item may have, will keep those stats, AND have the runeword stats with it, once it is made into a runeword

i would find another wand with that being the only bonus i would find another

find one with like.. +2 bone spear or +1-2 necro skills

ive seen some superior ones with those
