Which you like better? 1.09 or 1.1? why?

Exactally what the title says.

I am excluding 1.11 because nothing was really added to enhance the game other then 1 item and a few runewords and shit side quest.

Anyway, i plan on making a private realm as the official realm for this forum which it's members and moderators can join and play the game and have now only a community here at the board but a community while playing d2 as well.

Would you perfer 1.1 if it was easier to lvl? with cow runs again?
Perfer 1.09 with legit or bugged items?

Should new uniques/runewords be added? ( both 1.09 and 1.10 )

anyways, onto the topic, thats an interesting idea, honostly i would prefer a 1.09 realm myself, i played classic back then, but i do know that 1.10 made items WAY TOO powerful.

thered be no point in a private server for 1.10, cause itd be the exact same as bnet xcept faster leveling =/

some extra items could never hurt the game, just dont overpower them.

The .09 legit zealot community was way better than anything .10 or .11+ will ever be. Even with the INSANE prices (40+ runes for a CMSL, CMSQ etc).

Just to clarify since I stopped playing in .07 and began playing again in .10, hexes and white rings and stuff weren't around in .09 right?
If they were I'd say 1.11 is better just because anything that can totally flip the game like that is messed up.
Otherwise, .09 is cooler.

I prefer 1.10, with the awesome rune words. Back in 1.09, those were I believe the unique item days where a Shaftstop was l33t armor and everyone's currency was sojs and set pieces. Still is, if you give to a mercenary or something. I would however, like the 1.09 days better. OVerall, v1.08 was teh bomb (remembers the ms le days).

I would prefer 1.09 with no hacked items. No anni, no hellfire torch, no gheeds, sheer legit. And most of all, no enigma, fort, coh.

Yeah getting BOTD and Engima ruined the game big time. I prefer trying to look for Tal's armor or Skullder's for my sorc instead of some overused runewords.

Hellwolf, you're a gamer after my own heart. I was putting up with lots of stupid things in patch 1.10, but hellfire torch was the straw that broke the camels back. When I saw that it gives +3 to <random class> skills I knew that Blizzard had officially given up on the very notion of balance.

Because I enjoy playing the classics. Hell I still play on UT servers and even once in a while run Doom Legacy support for Doom 2 and play some Coop with a friend on Nightmare difficulty.

Anyways, Its good they added new things to do, but the original item set would make the game perfect the way it was.

Yes you can much like you can provide your own web hosting or ventrilo server. Your pc is the main server.

you should note that you need a pretty decent pc and set it up as a server (you dont use it) and you also need at least a t1 connection.
