Which is a bigger year for video games?

Me and Zoltar were havin a little debate, which was/is gunna be a better year for gaming:

Half-Life 2

2007

I'm gonna say 2004. Thinking of the massive amount of income WoW has generated, the huge fanbase surrounding Half Life 2 and now Garrys Mod, and Doom 3 had a pretty big hype when that was being released. Just outdoes 2007 i think. Think it's still a bit early to tell though..

2007

2004 is all FPS and MMORPG garbage. Two of the biggest RTS franchises happen to have their sequals the same year (well SCII is probably being released in 08 but it's still big). Pc gaming is all about RTS, and WOW sucks.

Considering 2007 isn't even half over yet and SC2 is probably not coming out this year, I'm going to say that 2004 has the upper hand.

The problem with 2007 is that SCII isn't released and probably won't be until a much later date. 2010?

The ONLY game the FPS has to offer this year is HALO3. I'm glad I'm not producing some other FPS or releasing some other game for Xbox this year. HALO3 seriously will blow all of them out of the water, into space.
You all thought Halo2 was big. Halo3 will break a lot of records.

Which would put a hurt on all the people without it.
