Where to get runes?

wats the best place to get runes besides hellforge?

In hell difficulty, the Countess cad drop all runes up to Lo.

But all runes > than Hel have a low chance to be dropped. If you get those high runes, well man, you're lucky.

some times hell forge can be disapointing.... i nicknamed the hell forge "Hel Forge" ive gotten so many hel runs from the hell hell forge its not even funny.


btw the council in act 3 drops some really nice runes

I thought The countess can drop a zod?

The runes from the countess suck: Tal Ort, El ,Eld ,Tir and almost the same in Hell. But i got Hel rune from Nightmare Bails Throne rooms so if you expect good runes they fall accidently where you dont expect them

What are you talking about Darkmage?
I found an Ist off of the Countess last week.

hell countess is good because she has the highest chance to drop a rune. as for which runes she drops, high runes obviously have a much lower chance of dropping than a low rune, but at least she will drop a rune.

one tip is to go for the "superdrops" on your hell countess runs. create a hell game with a character that hasn't completed the hell countess quest and then quickly switch to a different character that can do the run very fast. you'll get the better drop as if you were doing it for the first time (you can tell it's a "superdrop" when treasure spews from the chest where the countess is) and you can repeat the process to keep on getting "superdrops" only. my paladin hasn't finished the quest yet so I make the game with him and finish with my amazon.
